Winter Fly fishing in Hilton Head Island
It has been a warm early winter as it is Christmas Day and the highs were in the 70's. Lots of baitfish mainly mullet have remained on the flats making a smorgasbord for the redfish. The redfish are getting fat as the bait remains and we have boated some of the biggest redfish in the flats of Hilton Head that I've ever seen. Though the water hasn't cleared up like it usually does in the winter here, there are a handful of flats that are loaded with big redfish.
